20 May 2011 Angled Cellular Shades

One of the many reasons homeowners do custom window coverings is due to having uniquely shaped or unusual sized windows. We recently had the opportunity to assist Ms. Smith* in her lovely east coast home. Ms. Smith had several angle shaped windows and therefore, requested a consultation to learn about her window treatment options.

A great window shade for this type of opening is a Cellular Shade, also known as a Honeycomb Shade. This versatile window covering can usually fit any odd shaped window, including octagons or circles, and in many cases, still remain operable. There are hundreds of color and pattern options, as well as control options, such as cordless, top-down/bottom-up, and motorized shades.

Also, honeycomb shades are one of the most insulating window treatments you can buy and as such, they help to keep your utility bills lower. You can even order them in blackout materials for rooms like bedrooms or media rooms!

It’s always nice when we can help cover those windows our client’s didn’t think were possible!
